Under minimal direction, the Financial Analyst understands the performance of the company, compiles financial models, and assists in developing strategies to improve financial performance.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepares financial models and presentations for investors and banks, with an ability to explain the models in a clear, straightforward, and compelling manner
  • Supports Finance Director in preparing credit / financial metrics
  • Interprets data regarding financial investment risk and trends that may impact investment programs
  • Recommends and implements ideas and tools to improve existing systems and work practices
  • Analyzes strategic opportunities and presents recommendations to leadership team
  • Creates reports summarizing business, financial or economic data for review by leaders and other stakeholders

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, accounting, economics or related field
  • 3-5 years experience with financial modeling, preferably focused in development and construction
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and take action based on analysis
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
